hmmm…
tuesday night yoli and i went to toronto for the de/vision & seabound show. seabound kicked ass, as usual, and de/vision were MUCH better than when i saw them last spring in philly. opening act was glenn love, who was one of the shittiest EBM musicians i’ve seen in a very long time. this guy wasn’t fit to open for pittsburgh’s shittiest bands in 1996, and that’s saying something. he’d even make vampire nation look good. didn’t help that the dude — mr love, that is to say — looked like he was on the up side of 40 and the faaaaaar side of young.
saw some friends, which was also good. jer who now lives in hamilton, after having been abroad for a few years; diaz, who i haven’t seen in 11 years or so, just happened to be in town for the week; and of course the toronto crew of tara, tracy and adam.
what else did we do…? oh yeah!
yep, we got our depeche mode tattoos. yol is on top, and i am below. in case you don’t recognize them…
if you ask me, our nerditry is impressively cool.

somehow i think we wouldn’t have despised glenn love as much had our toes not been frozen solid and the booze selection been more condusive to warming of one’s cockles.
